The year Jonathan dedicated to the youth came to a close with Workcamp 2006. Again this year, our senior high youth traveled 7 hours to the Hungry Mother Lutheran Retreat Center in Marion, VA, to help Project Crossroads (a mission group headed by a local United Methodist church) on several building renovations including wheelchair access ramps and church repairs. While it was a fantastic time with the youth forming strong bonds with each other and the chaperones that attended, they were also stepping outside of the arena where they have grown accustomed to having DVDs and cable internet all from the same chair, and dared to focus more on relationships and the dedication that we all hope to share by our living example of Christ’s call to us.
