Our Interim Pastor

We are currently in the process of calling a new pastor through the ELCA system of a call committee. We are both diligent and joyful as we study anew our unique place in our Lord’s grand design. We pray that this will be a time of evaluation, discernment, and rededication as we prepare for a new chapter in the history of God’s people in this place.

Our interim pastor is The Reverend Ray Michener. As an ordained minister, Pastor Ray preachs the Word, administers the sacraments, conducts public worship, provides pastoral care to the sick and distressed, buries the dead, offers instruction, baptizes, confirms, marrys, and supervises all organizations of this congregation.

The Pastor also serves as the chief administrator responsible for the implementation of policies and direction mandated by the constitution, congregation, and council. As a council member and spiritual leader, the Pastor is the principal vision-maker for the goals and direction of the church.
