Saint Nicholas Lutheran Church
MINISTRIES

Our Ministries are outgrowths and expressions of our congregation’s life, and exist to aid the congregation in ministering to its members and to all persons who can be reached with the Gospel of Christ. The congregation, at its annual meetings, reviews each Ministry's policies, guide their activities, and receive reports concerning their membership, work, and finances. Each Ministry is guided by a Ministry Sponsor or Sponsors

The scallop shell with three drops of water (Triune reference) is a symbol of baptism. As baptized children of God, we are blessed to be a blessing. As the baptized we are called to be stewards of God's creation...thus, to serve (or volunteer).

Integrates new and existing members into the life of the congregation in order that the mission of the congregation may be carried out.

Ministry of Administration images

Ensures the business and administrative activities of the church are conducted in an efficient and effective manner and ensures the physical plant and grounds are properly developed and maintained.

Ministry of Christian Education images

Provides quality educational opportunities for children, youth, and adults; nurtures and encourages all who seek to know and understand more about God's word; provides personal spiritual growth opportunities for our leaders, and helps and supports all of the ministries of this congregation as we share the Good News of the Gospel.

Ministry of Evangelism & Outreach

Helping to commit ourselves to sharing the Good News, to nurturing others to do the same, to showing that God's house at Saint Nicholas is a warm, safe, and secure place where all may grow in their faith life with Christ.

Ministry of Social Concerns

Helping to identify and more fully understand issues of social concern, both locally and beyond, educating and equiping our community to respond, acting to positively affect the daily lives of our neighbors in Christ's name.

Ministry of Stewardship

Uplifting stewardship as a way of life, a way of viewing all that we are and all that we have as gifts from God to be used for God’s glory and the service of others. The objective is to educate, inspire and motivate the congregation with the understanding that stewardship is about God, and managing all that we have: time, talent, and treasures; God’s gifts to each of us, individually.

Ministry of Worship & Music

Providing for various and expressive settings of worship that are consistent in quality, reverent in nature, and supportive of the central roles that worship and music play in the life of the congregation as it gathers to gratefully celebrate the Good News of God in Jesus Christ.

Ministry of Youth & Family Life

Supportting the congregation of Saint Nicholas through nurturing youth, equipping families, and strengthening fellowship for service to our Lord. Includes our Stephen Ministry.
