Stephen Ministry is . . . Christian care-giving.

Stephen Ministry is encouragement and support found effective in more than thirty years of experience and refinement by the Stephen Ministries organization. Listening and prayer are two major tools of this ministry. A care-receiver and a Stephen Minister of same gender meet regularly, one-on-one.

The 2010 edition of the Saint Nicholas men's softball team finished the regular season with an 11-13 record which placed the team in 12th place in the 20-team league. The 5-2 tournament record brought the team's final 2010 record to 16-15. Thank you to the fans who came out to cheer for the team in 2010. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Do you enjoy weekend outdoor activities during the summer? Are you a male who will be 16 years old by December 31? If you can answer yes to both questions, the Saint Nicholas men's softball team is interested in you. The team holds its first practice in early April. League games are played on Saturday or Sunday late afternoon/early evening beginning in late April and go through July, with a season-ending tournament usually the first weekend in August.

If you have any questions about the team or the league, please contact Tom Blatt or any of the returning team members.

Women In Service to Christ (WISC) has been meeting on a regular basis for quite a while now for fellowship and spiritual growth. We are striving to offer a variety of activities and times so that every woman in the church will find something that appeals to her and fits her schedule. We include crafts and worship and a little singing and a lot of food. We have potluck and progressive dinners, cookouts, overnight retreats, make prayer bracelets, learn how to tie fancy bows, and even hold Cinco De Mayo nights!

Gee, this sounds great, all of you women are saying to yourselves. But I am not a member of WISC. Oh, but you are! If you are a member of Saint Nicholas, you are already a member of WISC. No fees, no dues, no initiation. You can just show up (or RSVP, if that is requested) and enjoy. You can select the activities that appeal to you. Of course, we WISCers are hoping that you will have so much fun that you will want to come back for every activity. Please give us a try.
