Opportunities for Service in Worship & Music

Hillary, Louise & Barbara at choir rehearsal.

By being involved in worship you will enrich your own life as well as helping others get the most out of the worship experience.

Many of the opportunities listed below arise only occasionally, such as baking bread or being the lector or singing a solo. Others need a commitment of time to go with your talents, such as singing in the choir or Sing & Rejoice singers.

There are many ways to make use of the gifts God has given you. Perhaps you are at a time in your life when you have just a few moments a week, so counting the offering once a month or so is what you can do. But perhaps you are able to serve in a more regular role. Search your heart and ask God to guide you.

Sing & Rejoice Singers

It is the voice of the Church that is heard in singing together.
It is not you that sings, it is the Church that is singing,
and you, as a member of the Church, may share in its song.
Thus all singing together...
serves to widen our spiritual horizon,
make us see our little company as a member
of the great Christian church on earth,
and help us willingly and gladly to join our singing,
be it feeble or good,
to the song of the Church.

Please Join Us!

It's not too late to join. Auditions are very challenging. You need to get yourself to the church somewhere around 7:00pm on a Monday night. You need to walk, crawl, roll or skip through any of the open doors and make your way to the nave. It would be helpful if you know what voice part you sing, but if you are unsure, we will be able to find out after you have tried singing all four, soprano, alto, tenor and bass. A seat, music, a folder, a pencil, and even a name tag will be provided. If you are willing to undertake this challenging audition and have the spirit to lift your voice to God on a weekly basis, please do. For more information, contact Jean at 410-257-7998.
