MINISTRY OF STEWARDSHIP

Ministry of Stewardship
Mission

The goal of the Stewardship ministry is to uplift stewardship as a way of life, a way of viewing all that we are and all that we have as gifts from God to be used for God’s glory and the service of others. The objective is to educate, inspire and motivate the congregation with the understanding that stewardship is about God, and managing all that we have: time, talent, and treasures; God’s gifts to each of us, individually.

Charlie Bauerdorf

"To those who so return the tithe, God offers to give such abundant blessing that there will not be room to receive it." (Mat 3:10)

We are continuing to do the work God has intended by expanding and growing through the Lord's love. The North Wing is the newest thread in the Saint Nicholas tapestry. We are being challenged to build additional space not that we might boast of brick and mortar, but that we would be better equipped to be about the work of the Gospel. Simply Giving® is an automated giving program from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and is a reliable, safe way to put part of your personal stewardship plan into action. Through this program, your contributions to Saint Nicholas are made via a preauthorized automatic electronic transfer from your checking or savings bank account. It allows you to share your gifts through planned giving and activates your generosity into ongoing stewardship.

Because your gift is given consistently, you won’t need to play “catch-up” at year end, worry about forgotten checkbooks, or missed Sunday offerings. Our congregation benefits from steady, more predictable revenues throughout the year, more efficient bookkeeping, and greater confidence in meeting its financial commitments.

Simply Giving® is an easy, efficient, and effective way of making all of your contributions. Now that you have made your pledge to Building on Faith, you may want to consider using Simply Giving® to make your building fund contribution as well as your regular contributions.

To begin the Simply Giving® automatic electronic transfer, print and fill out this Simply Giving® Individual Enrollment Form, or get a form from the special display or information rack in the narthex, then put your completed form in an envelope marked for Tom Blatt. The form may be mailed to the church office, put in the offering plate, or put on the church office desk.

Blood Drive Schedule
Red Cross

Did you know that almost 95 percent of the population will need blood in their lifetime? They could be patients having surgery, people with cancer, accident victims, burn patients, and many others.

Please check the calendar for the date and time of the next blood drive at Saint Nicholas, and see the sign-up sheet in the narthex, or contact Jean Olinger for more information.
